Thursday, November 15

9:00 pm Oregon (-12, N/A) at Arizona - Every season, it seems, there's a team like the Ducks, with a "so close" scenario. For Oregon, the so close was a fumble that cost them their only loss - a 31-24 home defeat at the hands of PAC-10 rival, Cal. Since that game, the Ducks have won four straight, including wins over USC and Arizona State. Oregon is the real deal while Arizona has had its share of ups and downs going 4-6 so far. The Wildcats may be a little better than their record indicates, having won two straight, the last one a 31-27 win over UCLA on Nov. 3. The extra week should work well for them and the upset possibility looms at home.

Prediction: Ducks 41 Wildcats 34

Saturday, November 17

12:00 pm Ohio State (off the board) at Michigan - Injuries keeping various players on both teams in questionable status has this OTB. Ohio State should end up being favored by 6-7 points and should win by 14.

Prediction: Buckeyes 34 Wolverines 20

12:30 pm Kentucky at Georgia (-7 1/2, N/A) - Kentucky is seeking to win its way to the SEC championship, but they'll have to win this and next week's game with Tennessee to even have a chance. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have resurrected themselves after a lopsided loss at Tennessee with 3 straight 40+ point performances - all wins - over Florida, Troy and Auburn. Georgia looks unstoppable on offense and the defense should be able to track down a couple of Andre Woodson's passes and win this going away.

Prediction: Bulldogs 38 Wildcats 24

12:30 pm Missouri (-7, N/A) at Kansas St. - While most of the eyes in the Big 12 are focused on either Kansas or Oklahoma, the Mizzou have quietly run up a 9-1 record, mostly on the strength of a superb offense which is ranked #7 at 41.8 ppg. The defense of K-State is highly suspect, especially after last week's 73-31 pasting by Nebraska. They've allowed 30 points or more four times this season and are 3-4 in the conference. Missouri faces Kansas next week, and should not be looking past this semi-dangerous foe.

Prediction: Tigers 44 Wildcats 23

2:00 pm Vanderbilt at Tennessee (-11 1/2, N/A) - The Commodores have played some of their SEC foes very tough this season. Others, like Florida and Auburn, have absolutely blasted them. Tennessee comes in with a 7-3 record and a live shot at the SEC championship game. The Volunteers will have plenty of fan support to go with their potent passing game and should take the next step forward with a 4th straight win.

Prediction: Volunteers 28 Commodores 13
