Fearless Rick's College Football Week 7 Picks - Late Games

6:30 pm Missouri at Oklahoma (-10, 61) - I rate Oklahoma as no more than a 4 1/2 point favorite here, as the potential for an upset (or a cover by Mizzou) is evident. The Sooners have not impressed in conference play thus far, losing to Colorado and squeezing by Texas by a mere touchdown. Meanwhile, Missouri is sizzling, especially after stunning Nebraska, 41-6 last week. The Sooners may still be recovering from their win over Texas before they realize that Mizzou QB Chase Daniel is running them ragged.

Daniel, a legitimate Heisman candidate has already tossed 15 TD passes and has rushed for another 188 yards. Missouri's multiple-set option attack may be more than the Sooner defense - which is still finding its way in many respects - can handle. Another upset in the making.

Prediction: Tigers 35 Sooners 27

7:00 pm Louisville at Cincinnati (-10 1/2, 66) - A month ago, Louisville would have rated a 4 to 7-point favorite, but the wings have fallen off the Cardinals and they are reeling in the Big East. They simply will not be able to knock heads with the physical Bearcats for 60 minutes, especially when they are on defense, or offense. In other words, this could be wholesale slaughter. Bearcats clawing little Cardinals to shreds. Cincy ranks 7th in scoring offense at 43.6 ppg and 6th in scoring defense at 12.7 ppg. And while Louisville is scoring 44 ppg, they are giving up 30.7 on average. They are 3-3 with the wins coming against Middle Tennessee, Murray State, and NC State. Cincinnati is the first ranked team they've played all season.

Prediction: Bearcats 48 Cardinal 24

7:00 pm Oregon State at Cal (-14, 57 1/2) - Last season, Cal won at Oregon State, 41-13 and the 5-0 Golden Bears are probably even better this year. Following USC's surprise loss to Stanford, the Bears can now see a path to the PAC-10 championship and they won't let the Beavers stand n their way. Oregon State is 3-3 overall and 0-2 on the road, with losses to Cincinnati (34-3) and Arizona State (44-32).

Prediction: Golden Bears 49 Beavers 21

7:45 pm Auburn at Arkansas (-3, 49 1/2) - The 4-2 Auburn Tigers may have the toughest schedule in college football. They've already beaten Kansas State, lost by 3 points to South Florida (26-23) and won at Florida (20-17). Their other loss was at home to Mississippi St., 19-14, but they've hunkered down and have won three straight. The Razorbacks have been putting up big numbers... and losing, dropping both of their SEC games this season - to Alabama and Kentucky. They can certainly run the ball and put up points against most teams, but the Tigers are not most teams. Look for Auburn to shut down the Hogs' offense and stun them good.

Prediction: Tigers 34 Razorbacks 23

10:15 pm Washington at Arizona State (-11 1/2, 54) - While Arizona State is a perfect 6-0, they just barely escaped Washington State last week, coming away with a 23-20 win. That's perfectly fine with the Huskies, who were last seen losing by a similar score, 27-24 at home to USC. They've had a week off to prepare for this game and are likely to knock off the Sun Devils. The Huskies are only 2-3, but those losses were to USC, UCLA and Ohio State, and they are capable of playing with anyone. The Sun Devils haven't played a ranked team yet, though they will beginning next week. This may serve as a tune-up, but also as a springboard for Washington.

Prediction: Huskies 31 Sun Devils 28
