Sunday, Dec. 2

Cleveland at Arizona (even, 51) 4:05 pm - Arizona was ambushed by San Fran last week as the Browns were cruising to win number 7, against just 4 losses. Cleveland is definitely in the playoff hunt, while the Cardinals have the look of a fader. While the Cards have a capable offense and a decent defense, but the Browns continue to play like a team on a mission - to make the playoffs - and that's a big factor at this point of the season.

Prediction: Browns 41 Cardinals 28

Denver (-3 1/2, 42) at Oakland 4:05 pm - The Broncos let one slip away from them last week in Chicago and will be out to make amends against the Raiders, who, despite beating KC last week are still in the AFC West basement. Denver should click for plenty of points and their defense should be able to contain anything the Raiders can offer.

Prediction: Broncos 28 Raiders 10

N.Y. Giants (-1 1/2, 42 1/2) at Chicago 4:15 pm - Here's a really tough call, and from the looks of the line, the Vegas boys aren't that certain about the outcome either. Chicago saved their season with a 14-point comeback in the 4th quarter and a win last week over Denver while the Giants were self-destructing at home against Minnesota. As punishment for their poor play, the Giants must play this week on the road against one of the better defenses in the NFC. At 7-4, the Giants are securely in the wild card driver's seat, but a Chicago win opens the door for as many as seven other contenders or pretenders. The Bears need this win badly and the Giants aren't prepared to stop a determined squad.

Prediction: Bears 31 Giants 17

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (-7, 45) 8:15 pm - After the 3-0 mud bowl win over Miami, the Steelers will be happy if the weather is anything better than a monsoon. The field will still be in pretty ugly shape and a slow track will likely aid the Steelers more than it will the Bengals. Cincy is just one of the worst teams in the league due to their porous defense and spotty offense. The Steelers will end any thoughts Cincy has of a late-season surge.

Prediction: Steelers 35 Bengals 21

Monday, Dec. 3

New England at Baltimore (-20 1/2, 50 1/2) 8:30 pm - Well, after the Eagles nearly knocked off the Patriots, other teams in the league must be breathing a sigh of relief, secure in the knowledge that this New England bunch has not been sent from another planet to terrorize the NFL. They are indeed human, and humans can and do lose football games. This one happens to be on the road, and the Ravens are in need of a signature win. However, with Todd Heap and Steve McNair both out for yet another game, the best Baltimore can do is come close.

Prediction: Patriots 31 Ravens 21
