Fearless Rick's NFL Week 14 Picks - Late Games

Rick Gagliano | Dec. 9-10

All times Eastern - Click here for early games.

Arizona at Seattle (-7, 44 1/2) 4:05 pm - This is the Cardinals' last stand. At 6-6, they must win in order to stay in contention for the NFC West title where they're currently chasing 8-4 Seattle. They did beat the Seahawks, 23-20, way back in week 2, and funny thing, they haven't gone away, even winning a must-win game against the Browns last week. Can they turn the trick in Seattle where the 'Hawks are 5-1. Could be. In any case, this one's likely to turn on a late field goal.

Prediction: Cardinals 30 Seahawks 27

Minnesota (-9, 39) at San Francisco 4:05 pm - The Vikings are the hottest commodity on the NFL market right now. They possess a punishing defense and the best running back to come along in many years in Adrian Peterson. When the Vikings are playing their brand of football, they're very tough to beat and this game should prove to be a springboard to a playoff berth. San Fran will be lucky to leave the field without too many broken bones.

Prediction: Vikings 38 49ers 10

Cleveland (-3, 47 1/2) at N.Y. Jets 4:15 pm - Hey, the Jets have been playing pretty well the past few weeks. They beat the Steelers and last week mauled Miami, 40-13. What's that? Oh, yeah, in between those games they lost to Dallas, 34-3. So, I guess they really are a 3-9 team with a limited offense and almost no defense. Well, the Browns don't have a defense either, but they have weapons galore when they have the ball and will pound the Jets mercilessly.

Prediction: Browns 31 Jets 13

Kansas City at Denver (-6 1/2, 37) 4:15 pm - Actually, Denver has a pretty good team when their defense shows up. Unfortunately, they seldom do, having allowed 329 points (28.4 per game). KC? Well, they're just plain mediocre. Denver should keep their playoff hopes alive, but they're barely breathing. They did beat KC, 27-11, three weeks ago and now welcome them to Mile High for another beat-down.

Prediction: Broncos 27 Chiefs 13

Indianapolis (-9, 44) at Baltimore 8:15 pm - Ever heard of a bounce? It's when a team gets way up emotionally for a big game, and then loses badly the following week. See it live here as Baltimore returns to being the really, really bad offensive team it has been most of the season. Indy will not lose here and should have this one wrapped up by the end of the third quarter.

Prediction: Colts 27 Ravens 10

Monday, Dec. 10

New Orleans (-4, 43) at Atlanta 8:30 pm - Nobody is forcing you to watch this game and I suggest you skip it. Since I haven't the luxury, I have to pick somebody and my heart goes out to the guys in the ATL who have had to suffer through a gut-wrenching season. A little get-back for the boyz.

Prediction: Falcons 21 Saints 16
