Fearless Rick's NFL Week 16 Picks - Late Games

Tampa Bay (-6, 36 1/2) at San Francisco 4:05 pm - Mark this one down as the ultimate blow out game of the season. Tampa is loose after having clinched their division and San Fran, well, they just stink. Jeff Garcia is back for the second straight week and all systems are go for the Bucs.
Prediction: Buccaneers 41 49ers 7
Atlanta at Arizona (-10, 44) 4:05 pm - Um, you know better than to bet this game, right? I have to make a choice, so I'll take the underdog to cover.
Prediction: Cardinals 27 Falcons 20
Baltimore at Seattle (off the board) 4:15 pm - No line as it appears Ravens' 3rd string QB Troy Smith may be the starter on Sunday. If that's the case, make the Seahawks 9 to 10 point favorites, but take the Ravens.
Prediction: Seahawks 24 Ravens 17
N.Y. Jets at Tennessee (-8 1/2, 37) 4:15 pm - The Jets played exceptionally well on defense last week, but they did get some help from the weather, which had winds blowing the ball all over the place, negating the Patriots' passing attack. They play a different kind of animal in the Titans this time, with Tennessee fighting for a playoff spot. The Titans must win this one, because they play at Indy next week. Vince Young usually comes up big in pressure games, so expect him to excel this week and for the defense to clamp down hard.
Prediction: Titans 28 Jets 10
Washington at Minnesota (-6 1/2, 40 1/2) 8:15 pm - Minnesota turned the ball over four times in their Monday night win over Chicago, but if they do that against the Redskins, they will pay dearly. Whoever made this line obviously thinks a lot of money is going to go on the Vikings, because it sure looks like a sucker bet to me. Washington has played well all season and has only lost by more than a touchdown twice. Give me an experienced veteran (Todd Collins) at quarterback any day over an inexperienced guy (Tarvaris Jackson) in a pressure-filled environment. Plus, Washington gets James Thrash back as a slot receiver. The Redskins have allowed less than 20 points in each of their last 4 games.
Prediction: Redskins 24 Vikings 13
Monday, Dec. 24
Denver at San Diego (-8 1/2, 47) 8:00 pm - The season ended a couple of weeks ago for the Broncos, and they were completely throttled by these Chargers, 41-3, back in October. San Diego's won four straight and seem to be getting their act together at just the right time. They have the talent. All they need to do is execute and this turns into a rout.
Prediction: Chargers 34 Broncos 10
