--- Week 13 Notes below ---

Week 13 Notes: Texas Tech's spell atop the rankings was short-lived. After being drubbed by the Oklahoma Sooners, 65-21, the Red Raiders dropped all the way to 8th in our rankings. Despite being idle, Alabama took back the top spot, befitting the only undefeated large conference team in the nation. Florida continued to impress, with a 70-19 romp over tiny Citadel, and moved into the #2 spot. The Gators have a date with the Florida State Seminoles before they play the Crinson Tide on December 6. The winner of that game will almost certainly comprise one half of the NCAA football championship matchup.

Texas took the third spot and will benefit from a loss by either Florida or Alabama, an outcome that is absolutely certain. What's still unclear is whether the Longhorns will win the Big 12 South. If Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State this weekend, combined with wins by Texas (playing Texas A&M) and Texas Tech (hosting Baylor), there would be a three-way tie atop the division, setting up the 7th tie-breaker, ranking in the BCS. The Longhorns are currently third and likely to stay there, unless they just barely escape the Aggies. Should Oklahoma lose, Tech would win the division and play Missouri in the Big 12 championship. This could set up the odd event of the Longhorns playing for the national title without even winning their conference, or even their division.

All of that is going to be fleshed out on the field in this, the final week of the regular season.
