Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears (-6 1/2, 38) 1:00 pm - Believe it or not, the Bears and Seahawks could be playoff teams, and this could be a preview, so pay attention.

Seattle is even at 2-2, while the Bears have only their one visit to New York to account for their one loss against four wins. While the Bears don't have much in the way of offense, neither do the Seahawks, so prepare for a game determined by field position and turnovers, but the Bears will have Jay Cutler back and the Seahawks aren't exactly ball-hawks.

Bears may make the playoffs; the Seahawks chances look a little bit iffy after this one.

Prediction: Bears 27 Seahawks 16

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots (-3, 45) 1:00 pm - As usual, the AFC has an overabundance of quality teams and here are two of them. The 3-1 Pats are chasing the Jets, who already have a win over them in hand, so the dreams of winning the AFC East could hinge on the outcome of this game.

The move by the Patriots to trade Randy Moss to Minnesota is puzzling, and may have torpedoed the season. While the offense will surely suffer, it's the defense that has the real problems, allowing 24 ppg and 272.3 yards passing on average over the first four game.

Baltimore suffers no such issues, as their defense is one of the league's best, giving up 257.8 yards, and allowing just 14.4 points on average, ranked 3rd and 4th, respectively. Even though this game is being played on Patriot turf, the Ravens should get the nod. They've won three straight, the only loss a five-point shortfall at Cincinnati.

Prediction: Ravens 34 Patriots 14

Detroit Lions at NY Giants (-10, 44 1/2) 1:00 pm - Did anyone expect the Lions to explode for 44 points and absolutely bury the Rams last week? Three TD passes by Shaun Hill, a couple of picks on San Bradford, a kickoff return for a score did the 44-6 trick. It was the first win of the season for Detroit, though they've been competitive in all but their 24-10 loss at Minnesota.

The Lions aren't going to have the same kind of game against the Giants. Thye're on the road for one thing, and the Giants' pass rush won't allow Hill to settle into any kind of rhythm. The do get a bye week after this, and all teams prefer a win going into the week off, but that's not going to be easy against the Giants.

New York blew out Houston on the road and returns home for this one. The Giants stampeded the Texans, 34-10, sacking Matt Schaub three times in the process. Expect more of the same aggressive front line play from the G-Men, and another win, though getting past that 10-point give may prove troubling.

Prediction: Giants 28 Lions 17

Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles (-3, 42 1/2) 1:00 pm - This is as it should be, the Eagles back from a successful trip West in which they dominated the 49ers for three quarters and then nearly gave the game away in the 4th. Atlanta traveled to Cleveland for a 20-10 win, but stay on the road.

The Falcons actually have the second-best scoring defense in the league, at 14 ppg and the offense has held its own without many mistakes.

Michael Vick is still listed as OUT for this one and it isn't likely he'll play. Kevin Kolb proved his worth against the 49ers and should be the starter. Either way, the Eagles look pretty darn good and having home field advantage doesn't hurt. Chalk up a win for the Eagles here, though not by much more than a field goal.

Prediction: Eagles 21 Falcons 17

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-14, 37) 1:00 pm - TheBrowns aren't playing badly with what they've got, but the Steelers return bad behavior Ben back to the starting job at QB and have started the season out in good fashion. Coming off the bye week should help Roethlisberger, who has had the opportunity to get in extra practice, but he'll still be rusty and the Browns may pick off a few here, just enough to cover the spread.

Prediction: Steelers 17 Browns 10

Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers (-3, 44) 1:00 pm - Status of Packer QB Aaron Rodgers upgraded to game time decision, which means he's likely to play. Issue here is the temperature in Green bay at game time. Dolphins may not like it under 40, but in any case, the Packers need a win here and the season starts slipping away from Miami.

Prediction: Packers 26 Dolphins 17

San Diego Chargers (-8 1/2, 45) at St. Louis Rams 1:00 pm - Will the Rams rebound following last week's 44-6 drubbing by st. Louis? In all probability, yes, and they will play well against the Chargers, who still haven't proven anything to anyone around the league. San Diego's days of dominating the AFC West may be coming to an end, coinciding with the aftermath of their trade of LaDainian Tomlinson. Both teams are 2-3, but the Rams have played well for the most part.

Sam Bradford had a tough week, and that's all part of the maturation process, but he'll bounce back here. The Chargers are allowing just 246.2 yards per contest, and still losing, even though they rank second in the league in scoring, at 28 ppg.

That aberration in the stats is likely the cause of turnovers and big plays. The Chargers are also 0-3 on the road thus far this season. A less-than-inspiring effort, something the Chargers are quite expert at achieving, makes them 0-4.

Prediction: Rams 37 Chargers 31
