--- Week 6 Notes below ---

Looking for the best NFL Handicapper? Good luck. Most of them suck.

Week 6 Notes:

It was a "by the books" weekend for Week 6 in the college football ranks. Out of the Top 25, all teams were in action except Michigan State and USC, and there were only two games featuring match-ups of Top 25 teams: Oklahoma-Texas and LSU-Florida. The higher-ranked teams - Oklahoma and LSU - both won handily, as the Sooners swamped the turnover-prone Longhorns, 55-17, and LSU steamrolled the Gators, 41-11.

Going into the weekend, Texas was #14 and Florida was #24. Their losses moved Texas down the ranks to Florida's vacated spot, at #24, and the Gators, with their second loss of the season, dropped out.

Teams that had been ranked #15 though #23 each moved up one notch. #25 Baylor jumped two notches to #23, and 5-1 Penn State was added at #25.

Teams ranked #1 though #13 all won and retained their rankings from Week 5, without change.

With Texas and Texas Tech each taking losses in Week 6, there are now 13 undefeated teams in the FBS, all represented in the Downtown Magazine Top 25 rankings and there are no teams with more than one loss included.
