Sunday, Nov. 6

NY Jets at Buffalo Bills (-1 1/2, 44) 1:00 pm - Amazing as it may sound the Bills are tied with the Patriots at the top of the AFC East, though hold the advantage due to their 34-31 win over the Pats earlier in the year.

The Jets have recovered from their three-game skid to win their last two and are just a game back at 4-3, so this is an important divisional game for both teams.

Experts can say what they like about the Bills and the Jets, but Ryan Fitzpatrick has outperformed Jets' QB Mark Sanchez thus far and with a new long-term contract in place, seems to be poised for more great performances. New York was supposed to have a great defense, but the Bills may be even better, after blanking the Redskins last week, 27-0.

Prediction: Bills 23 Jets 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-8 1/2, 50) 1:00 pm - Like a thoroughbred racehorse that has an off day, so too with the Saints, who were outplayed on the road by the reinvigorated Rams, 31-21, last Sunday. Draw a line through that game and the Saints look a lot better, beating up opponents at home by an average of 26 points.

These two met just three weeks ago, with the Buccaneers coming out on top of a 26-20 score, though before and after that game, the Bucs had difficulties on both sides of the ball, losing at San Francisco, 48-3 and dropping a home game on the 23rd of October to Chicago, 24-18.

Look for the Saints to get back on track behind a big outing from Drew Breese to remain atop the NFC South.

Prediction: Saints 34 Buccaneers 21

Atlanta Falcons (-7 1/2, 44) at Indianapolis Colts 1:00 pm - The poor, 0-8, Colts aren't getting any better, though they have had their moments at home, though they are still just 1-4 in their last five both ATS and SU.

The Falcons got off to a poor start this season, but have won three of their last four, the only loss on 10/9, a 25-14 loss to the Packers, which is forgivable.

This is a perfect spot for Atlanta to keep pace with the Saints and Bucs in their divisional chase, and Matt Ryan should guide them to a win over a very banged up, worn out, Colts' defense.

Prediction: Falcons 30 Colts 10

Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys (-12, 44) 1:00 pm - The Seahawks proved again last week what an incomplete football team they are in a 34-12 loss at home to the Bengals.

Meanwhile, Dallas was thoroughly beaten in all phases by the Eagles, losing at Philly, 34-7, likely the low point of the season for Dallas, though they are still tied with the Eagles and Redskins at 3-4, all chasing the 5-2 Giants.

Dallas should be able to get back to winning football against the Seahawks, who rank 27th in scoring offense. The Cowboys at home should give the fans something to cheer about.

Prediction: Cowboys 28 Seahawks 13

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs (-4, 40) 1:00 pm - The Dolphins are going to win a game some time this season, just not this game.

Kansas City, winners of four straight, including the thrilling Monday night, 23-20, win over San Diego. For that, they get this home game against the winless Fish, who gave the Giants a bit of a scare last week, losing 20-17 at the Meadowlands.

KCs receivers are coming around nicely and should slice though the Miami defense for the win.

Prediction: Chiefs 27 Dolphins 20

San Francisco 49ers (-4, 38) at Washington Redskins 1:00 pm - Washington looked completely out of sync in last weekend's 27-0 blistering by the Bills, so returning to their home turf should aid them against the 49ers.

The 6-1 49ers won their fifth straight, beating the Bills, 20-10, but must adjust to the trip East, which is a problem for many West coast teams.

Washington has to find some offense, because the 49ers don't give much up defensively. They are, in fact, the lowest scored-upon team in the league, allowing just 15.3 ppg. Sill, Washington's defense is usually sound, allowing 19.9 on average, making this game a battle of defenses which the Redskins just may win, possibly in overtime.

Prediction: Redskins 16 49ers 13

Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans (-12 1/2, 41) 1:00 pm - Having picked the Browns almost every week this season, it's time to jump off that stationary bandwagon, as they come to Houston against one of the best young teams in the league.

The Texans are taking no prisoners, ranked fifth in scoring defense, while 8th in scoring offense, at 25.8 ppg, most of this accomplished without the services of wide receiver Andre Johnson or linebacker Mario Williams.

Houston can tighten its grip on its division lead with a win, while the Browns return to the usual poor form of the last decade of frustration.

Prediction: Texans 34 Browns 10
