AutoZone Liberty Bowl
West Virginia (-3 1/2, 67) vs. Texas A&M
Big 12 vs. SEC, Memphis, TN, Liberty Bowl, Mon., Dec. 29, 2:00 p.m. ET, ESPN - Both teams have the kind of offenses that can really light it up, but 8-4 West Virginia lit it up more often than 7-5 A&M.

Most idiots just take the SEC teams in these games, but the Mountaineers should put an end to the myth that just because a team plays in the same league as Alabama or Florida that they're good.

Prediction: Mountaineers 40 Aggies 24

Russell Athletic Bowl
Clemson (even, 54) vs. Oklahoma
ACC vs. Big 12, Orlando, FL, Florida Citrus Bowl, Mon., Dec. 29, 5:30 p.m. ET, ESPN - The Sooners usually disappoint in bowl games and this looks to be no exception.

Clemson surprised a lot of people by finishing with a solid, 9-3 mark and has one of the best defense in the country. Besides, what can one say about a team that finishes up against its in-state rival (OKST) and loses at home, 38-35, even though the other team didn't have a real QB?

Bob Stoops must have fairy dust in his hair or something. Otherwise, it's hard to understand why Oklahoma hasn't fired him after so many recurring failures.

Prediction: Tigers 41 Sooners 20

AdvoCare Texas Bowl
Texas vs. Arkansas (-7, 45 1/2)
Big 12 vs. SEC, Houston, TX, NRG Stadium, Mon., Dec. 29, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN - Shades of the old Southwest conference bringing these two natural rivals together. Unfortunately, the Longhorns aren't up to snuff, as evidenced by their 6-6 record and huge losses against questionable competition, both in and out of their conference.

Speaking of conferences, the Razorbacks struggled in the SEC, but their losses were narrow, losing by a point to Alabama, by a TD to Mississippi State and Missouri, in between recording back-to-back shutout wins over LSU and Mississippi, 17-0, and 30-0. This could be the best play of the entire bowl season. A knockout.

Prediction: Razorbacks 45 Longhorns 13
