Thursday, December 4

7:30 pm UCF at East Carolina (-5 1/2, 55) - No championship game in the American Athletic conference, but Central Florida, after an 0-2 start, has gone 8-1 and is 6-1 in the conference with a chance to tie Memphis at 7-1 with a win here.

UCF defense has been outstanding the past three games, allowing just 14 points in wins over Tulsa, SMU and South Florida (a 16-0 shutout).

East Carolina's explosive offense scores 37.8 ppg on average, but will be put to the test against the #5 defense in the country (16.8 ppg).

Prediction: Knights 26 Pirates 20

Friday, December 5

7:00 pm MAC Championship
Northern Illinois (-5 1/2, 59) at Bowling Green - A rematch of last year's MAC championship, won by Bowling Green, 47-27. While the Huskies are favored, they have not been as dominant this season, compiling an 10-2 mark and a 7-1 record in the Mid-American.

The Falcons of Bowling Green were 5-3 in conference action, and are coming off consecutive losses to Toledo and Ball State, but they are at home and have a habit of getting up for big games and this is as big as it gets.

Prediction: Falcons 31 Huskies 24

9:00 pm PAC-12 Championship
Arizona at Oregon (-13 1/2, 72) - Prohibitive favorites again, Oregon has just one loss this season, to these very Wildcats, a 31-24 defeat in Corvalis.

Oregon is eyeing a spot in the national championship final four, but a loss here would upset their plans. Arizona beat them last year, 42-16, and, even though this year's meeting was closer, the Wildcats seem to have the Ducks' number.

Prediction: Wildcats 34 Ducks 32

Saturday, December 6

12:00 pm Conference USA Championship
Louisiana Tech at Marshall (-12 1/2, 69) - Marshall lost just once this season, and it happened to be last week, a 67-66 OT defeat against Western Kentucky. The Thundering Herd has had a spectacular season, going 11-0 before becoming the last team - besides Florida State - to give up undefeated status.

The Herd is the second-highest scoring team in FBS, but the Bulldogs are no slouches in the scoring department, having put up 55 against UTEP, 59 against Western Kentucky and 76, last week in a monster win over Rice. They've won six of their last seven and are geared up for the upset.

Prediction: Bulldogs 56 Thundering Herd 48

12:00 pm Iowa State at TCU (-32, 66 1/2) - Blowout city as the Horned Frogs secure their place in the national championship playoff picture, now that Mississippi State is out of the way. They'll get more assurance if Kansas State knocks off Baylor, as the Bears are the only team to beat TCU this season, a 61-58 loss at Baylor.

TCU averages 46.1 points per outing, third-best in the country. No stopping this freight train.

Prediction: Horned Frogs 54 Cyclones 13
