Terms of this service:

  1. About Downtown Magazine: We can arrange the sale and purchase of collections of books, magazines, records, cds, sports cards and memorabilia from people around the world. We act as a broker or middleman and charge a flat 15% fee. We are not collectors, though we are in contact with many.
  2. We have been selling on Amazon, eBay and Yahoo auctions and our ownweb site for the past SEVEN years and have a stellar reputation, plus we've arranged private sales for many people.
  3. We are fair, honest and reliable. While we do not know you, we can verify our existence with email address, physical address and phone number (listed), two eBay IDs, Amazon ID, Yahoo ID, PayPal ID, and more. If we locate a buyer at an acceptable price, this information will be provided to you as your security.
  4. Your responsibilities. If Downtown magazine is able to sell your collection at an agreed-upon price, we will recieve and hold funds from the buyer in escrow. Once we have said funds in hand and notify you, you are required to ship the items or collection in a prompt manner (3 days or less). The method of shipping is your choice and your cost unless otherwise agreed to.
  5. Payment: We pay by check upon inspection and agreement to the buyer's satisfaction. Once we have recieved approval to release funds from the buyer to you, we will send you a check or make payment by other means, within 3 days.
  6. In the case that the items you've agreed to sell arrive in a condition or in quantity different from what was specified, we will do our best to recify the situation between you and the buyer. In the case that all parties cannot come to an agreement, all monies (less our 15% fee) are returned to the buyer. Recovering your items then becomes a matter between you and the buyer and you agree to hold Downtown Magazine harmless.
  7. Other Information: By submitting this form you agree to allow Downtown Magazine to display your items for sale and solicit offers from users of this site. All items are to be in the condition specified and any major defects noted. You also agree to accept offers that meet your specified price and to receive communications from Downtown Magazine, its agents or representatives concerning sale of your items or collection. Your name, address and email will not be made publicly available. They are for the exclusive use of Downtown Magazine, its agents or representatives and will not be released or resold except under extraordinary circumstances. Items and collections for sale will be listed at this page: Items and Collections for Sale and can be withdrawn at any time by the owner or prospective seller without cost or penalty. This is a brokerage service and until a sale is consumated, there is no fee. Please do not abuse this service with frivolous offerings or offerings with an estimated value of less than $50.
