7:30 pm Houston (-7 1/2, 64) at Cincinnati - Not missing a beat after their stunning, season-opening, 33-23, victory over Oklahoma, the Cougars are a force with which to be reckoned, stomping Lamar last week 42-0.
Also checking in at 2-0 are the Bearcats, though their wins have been less-than-impressive, although last week's 38-20 win at Purdue was a boost to their program. However, the Cougars are in a class unto themselves, despite last season's 33-30 win by Houston at Cincinnati. This figures to be more decisive
Coin Flip: Houston
Prediction: Cougars 41 Bearcats 24
8:00 pm Baylor (-31, 65 1/2) at Rice - Not really much of a contest here, as Baylor has rung up consecutive wins over Northwestern State (55-7) and SMU (40-13) and has one of the most explosive offenses in the college ranks.
Rice has been blown out by Western Kentucky and Army and are destined to become 0-3.
Coin Flip: Rice
Prediction: Baylor 54 Owls 13
12:00 pm Florida State (-2, 65 1/2) at Louisville - Having their season almost ruined by a lackluster first half against Ole Miss two weeks back, the Seminoles stormed the second half to win going away over the Rebels, 45-34. Last week they asked through Charleston Southern, 52-8, and now meet another serious opponent in enemy territory.
Louisville dispatched Syracuse handily last week, 62-28, and their high -frequency offense will cause the Seminoles fits. In what could very possibly be a minor upset, the Seminoles will find a winning formula again.
Coin Flip: Louisville
Prediction: Seminoles 38 Cardinals 34
#25 Miami hasn't played anybody of importance yet, pounding Florida A&M and Florida Atlantic by a combined 108-13, so they really have to prove themselves against App St. and that could cause problems.
Coin Flip: Miami
Prediction: Mountaineers 28 Hurricanes 20
There should be more than enough offense for everybody here, and the published O/U line will likely be obliterated midway through the third quarter. It's a shoot-out scenario, so have the points handy.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Panthers 45 Cowboys 43
Just a guess, but very few teams (if any) have beaten Alabama twice in a row during the coaching reign of Nick Saban.
Coin Flip: Mississippi
Prediction: Crimson Tide 38 Rebels 21
Coin Flip: Nebraska
Prediction: Cornhuskers 42 Ducks 27

12:00 pm Miami (FL) (-3 1/2, 52) at Appalachian State - One of the more dangerous under-the-radar teams out there, the Mountaineers should make use of their timely offense and stingy defense to pull off a big home win over a ranked team.
3:30 pm Pittsburgh at Oklahoma State (-6, 59) - Pitt handled a stubborn Penn State squad last week for a 42-39 win and a 2-0 record, while the Cowboys were shocked by Central Michigan, 30-27, leaving them marred with a 1-1 mark.
3:30 pm Alabama (-11, 54 1/2) at Ole Miss - The Crimson Tide can't hide in the rugged SEC, but one has to wonder if the Rebels are up to it again after topping 'Bama, 43-37, last season. The Tide stuffed USC, 52-6, in their seasonal opener, and hammered a very good Western Kentucky team last week, 38-10.
3:30 pm Oregon at Nebraska (-3, 73) - The Cornhuskers may be one of the more improved teams in the country and they get to host the Ducks, which is a rare treat. While both teams are 2-0, Nebraska appears to have a huge advantage defensively. the Ducks have allowed a combined 54 points in their two games; Nebraska has given up exactly half of that.
