Miami at San Diego (-3, 48), 4:05 pm (CBS) - Too tough to call, because both teams have more strengths than weaknesses in various key areas, but since the Chargers can still count on Phillip Rivers in late stages of games and the Dolphins were fortunate to beat the Jets last week, San Diego should grab the win.

Coin Flip: San Diego

Rick's Pick: Chargers 30 Dolphins 23

San Francisco at Arizona (-13, 48), 4:25 pm (FOX) - Coming off a bye week and playing at home, this one is too easy to call, but is also carries the biggest line of the week, the only question is by how many points the Cardinals will win. Let's call it two touchdowns.

Coin Flip: Arizona

Rick's Pick: Cardinals 34 49ers 20

Dallas at Pittsburgh (-2 1/2, 50), 4:25 pm (FOX) - The Steelers were beaten down by division rival Baltimore last week, but get home field against one of the hottest teams in the league. Dallas is on the road for the second straight week, and they're facing a team that really needs a win and will be well-prepared. Should be quite the shoot-out with Ben Roethlisberger gunning for the Steelers and Dak Prescott continuing to impress for Dallas.

Let's give the Steelers some credit for hanging tough and winning games when their backs are to the wall, though entering the week at 4-4, they're tied with the Ravens for first place in the division.

Coin Flip: Steelers

Rick's Pick: Steelers 38 Cowboys 34

Seattle at New England (-7, 45), 8:30 pm (NBC) - Sorry, but there's no way on earth anybody should pick against the Patriots at home (or on the road). They're just heads and shoulders over the rest of the league. Seattle has issues on offense, making life a little easier for New England defenders.

The Patriots aren't exactly defensive killers, but they are good enough to hold any team to fewer points than Tom Brady's offense will garner.

Coin Flip: New England

Rick's Pick: Patriots 24 Seahawks 14

Monday, November 14

Cincinnati at NY Giants (-2 1/2, 47), 8:30 pm (ESPN) - With their 28-23 home victory over the Eagles last week, the Giants find themselves in positive territory with a 5-3 record and a realistic chance at an NFC wild card spot.

Not quite the team they were last season, 3-4-1 Cincinnati may have put the toughest part of their schedule behind them and are probably ready to make a run for the AFC North division title. While the Giants have surprised many, the Bengals have somewhat underperformed, but have the talent to make this very competitive and maybe spring the minor upset.

Coin Flip: Bengals

Rick's Pick: Bengals 30 Giants 27
