Fearless Rick's NFL Football Picks - Week 12 late games
All times Eastern
Seattle (-5 1/2, 45) at Tampa Bay, 4:05 pm (FOX) - Pulling off the upset of last week, Tampa Bay ended the Chiefs 10-game home win streak with their 19-17 victory at Kansas City. Seattle, meanwhile, handled the Eagles, which is becoming more and more a doable task for NFC squads.
Seattle may be the best and most balanced team in the conference, but the Buccaneers may become the darling of the league for their vast improvement this season. While this may not result in a Tampa Bay victory, it should be a close call, requiring the points.

Green Bay at Philadelphia (-3 1/2, 47 1/2), 8:30 pm (ESPN) - It would be nice to just say, "stick a fork in X or Y, they're done," but both of these teams seem to make that grade. The Packers, however, are probably the more pathetic of the two, plus, the Eagles get home field for this meaningless Monday night fiasco. Not only is Green Bay struggling offensively, they have practically no defensive secondary.

WEEK 12 NFL Picks- late games
Carolina at Oakland (-3 1/2, 48), 4:25 pm (CBS) - Oakland has secured itself the title of NFL glamor team thanks to the play of Derek Carr and his outstanding offensive teammates, but they'll have to be on their game against the Panthers, who are beginning to gain their best stride in these late stages of the season. Very tough call and possibly the best game of the weekend. Have to side with the kids from the Bay, at home after literally winning on foreign soil, a 27-20 victory over Houston in Mexico City.
New England (-9, 47) at NY Jets, 4:25 pm (NBC) - This used to be a good match-up of fierce AFC rivals, but the Patriots hold a huge edge over the past few years. It won't be pretty, or easy, but the Pats should find a way to put the Jets past the point of denial over a season lost.
Kansas City at Denver (-3, 39 1/2), 8:30 pm (CBS) - The winner of this contest stays on pace for the AFC West title, while the loser may find themselves embroiled in a race to the playoffs with as many as six other teams vying for a wild card. It's probably too early in the proceedings to call this game a "must win" for either team, but it was important enough for the league brass to move the game to the 8:30 prime time TV spot. Neither team is possessed with explosiveness on offense, and the defenses are both solid, but Kansas City has been waiting for years to dump the Broncos and they know this is their very best chance, thus, they may be the more motivated team.
