Week 15 Results: Rick: 10-6; Coin: 6-10
Atlanta Falcons at Buffalo Bills (-14, 44 1/2) 1:00 pm - The Bills have their post-season destiny in their hands and they are almost certain to win at home against the failing Falcons. While 7-8 Atlanta has an outside chance at making the playoffs, the Bills have only to win here and knock off the Jets next week to secure the AFC crown.
Buffalo is third in scoring, league wide, and has allowed the second-least points (264; New England, 260) in the league, while the Falcons are one of five teams which have allowed 400 or more points.
Coin Flip: Buffalo
Prediction: Bills 38 Falcons 10
Could we see Nick Foles behind center for Chicago? Wonders never cease.
Coin Flip: Chicago
Prediction: Bears 27 Giants 14
With eight straight wins to their credit and the possibility of meeting the Bengals again in the playoffs, the Chiefs will be playing all of their starters, though their secondary is fairly banged up. Look for the Bengals to keep things close and possibly write their ticket to the playoffs.
Coin Flip: Cincinnati
Prediction: Bengals 30 Chiefs 27
With six of seven playoff spots still up fro grabs in the AFC, both teams will be keyed up for this game. The Raiders' defense has really stepped it up the past two weeks, so expect this one to go down to the wire.
Coin Flip: Indianapolis
Prediction: Colts 23 Raiders 18
The Patriots are very likely going to the playoffs, unless something horrible happens in this game or next week against the Dolphins in Miami. New England's front seven on defense is pretty thin, but the secondary is healthy, so they should be OK, though the final result might be a little closer than expected.
Coin Flip: Jacksonville
Prediction: Patriots 21 Jaguars 13
The Jets are 3-5 at home, but only one of their home losses has been by less than 14 points (Miami, 24-17). Despite some injuries, the Buccaneers should manage to win and cover easily.
Coin Flip: Tampa Bay
Prediction: Buccaneers 34 Jets 14
It wasn't that Tua was much better, but that the defense found ways to stymie their opponents. During their streak only the Jets have scored more than 10 points against them. Last week's 20-3 win over the Saints proved just how good their defense is.
Tennessee still misses Derrick Henry (who wouldn't?), but they can clinch the AFC South with a win here, having already topped the Colts twice. They are at Houston next week, so a loss here would not be a disaster. As good as Miami is playing, a third home loss for the Titans is not out of the question.
Coin Flip: Tennessee
Prediction: Dolphins 24 Titans 16
Philly comes off an impressive second half against the Giants, in which they outscored the G-Men, 31-7. The Eagles have won three straight and five of six. Jalen Hurts is rolling and the defense looks just fine.
Coin Flip: Philadelphia
Prediction: Eagles 27 Football Team 6
Lamar Jackson is listed as questionable and Tyler Hundtley is out, so maybe Josh Johnson will be the starter. At 35, he's got plenty of experience and the Ravens are desperate for a win.
By contrast, the Rams have won four straight, their QB (Matthew Stafford) is healthy and they've already clinched a playoff berthed but need to keep winning in order to grab the NFC West title and maybe the #1 seed.
The key is the Ravens' defense, which, should they recover from their bombing last week, may keep their playoff hopes very much alive.
Coin Flip: Baltimore
Prediction: Ravens 23 Rams 20

Sunday, January 2
NY Giants at Chicago Bears (-6, 37 1/2) 1:00 pm - Seriously, who cares? The Bears are 5-10, the Giants, 4-11. However, Jake Fromm, the Giants starting QB, was 6-for-17 for 25 yards and a pick last week against the Eagles, while the Bears have both Justin Fields and Andy Dalton listed as questionable.
Kansas City Chiefs (-5, 49 1/2) at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 pm - Clearly, this is a huge game for both teams, though it's likely a bigger deal for Joe Burrow and the Bengals, as they can wrap up the division with a win. Kansas City (11-4) has already clinched the AFC West and hold a one game lead over Tennessee for the #1 seed in the conference, which is quite the big deal.
Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts (-6 1/2, 44 1/2) 1:00 pm - Following a 48-9 slaughter at Kansas City, the Raiders have regrouped and find themselves at 8-7 with two games remaining after defeating both the Browns and Broncos. They could not have chosen a tougher opponent than the Colts, though, as Indy has been on fire, winning six of their last seven, the lone defeat a 38-31 setback against Tampa Bay.
Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots (-15 1/2, 42) 1:00 pm - Jacksonville has nothing. Zero potential except for a #1 draft pick with their current 2-13 record currently in the lead. Trevor Lawrence has been pretty much a bust, with nine TDs, 14 picks, and a 32.6 rating. Maybe the Jags can do better this time around.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-13, 45 1/2) at NY Jets 1:00 pm - Another potential blowout, as Tampa Bay seeks the #1 seed, though they'll need help from Green Bay and the Rams (losing). They've already wrapped up the NFC South, so getting a higher placement is important, though not imperative.
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans (-3 1/2, 41) 1:00 pm - The Dolphins have amazed everyone by winning seven straight after a 1-7 start to the season. The turnaround occurred when Tua Tagovailoa returned at QB, helping Miami overcome Baltimore on Thursday, November 11.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3 1/2, 46) at Washington Football Team 1:00 pm - This is a rematch from two weeks ago, when the Eagles handled the Football Team, 27-17, in Philly. After last week's 56-14 slaughter at Dallas, there isn't much holding together this Washington quad, their playoff hopes dashed by three straight defeats.
LA Rams (-3 1/2, 46 1/2) at Baltimore Ravens 1:00 pm - Even after losing four straight, the Ravens are still just a game behind the Bengals in the AFC North, but the Bengals have beaten them twice, badly, including last week's 41-21 knock.
