LA Rams (-2, 54 1/2) at Seattle Seahawks 8:20 pm - The Rams are coming off a loss while the Seahawks got a 28-21 win at San Francisco. Seattle is just 2-2 and needs a win to even themselves with the Rams. Both are chasing 4-0 Arizona in the division.
This is only Seattle's second home game, and the last one they lost in OT to Tennessee. while much has been made of Matthew Stafford (11 TD, 2 INT) at LA, Russell Wilson has thrown 9 TD passes without an interception. Look for the Seahawks to find the winning home edge.
Coin Flip: Seattle
Prediction: Seahawks 26 Rams 23
NY Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons (-3, 46) (London) 9:30 am - The Jets got their first win of the season with a fairly impressive performance over visiting Tennessee last week. Rookie QB Zach Wilson had his best game as a pro, and the Jets' defense held up well against the Titans.
The Falcons lost a heart-breaker to Washington, 34-30 as the Football Team scored a touchdown with just seconds remaining. This game is over in London. Of these two 1-3 teams, the Jets appear to be on the upswing.
Coin Flip: NY Jets
Prediction: Jets 30 Falcons 23
Coin Flip: Philadelphia
Prediction: Panthers 27 Eagles 17
The Bengals remained deadlocked with the Ravens and Browns atop the AFC North as they handled Jacksonville Thursday night, 24-21. This is the classic meeting of the aging veteran (Aaron Rodgers) against the young gunslinger (Joe Burrow), so, weather permitting, there may be more than a few highlight reel plays from this contest. Tough call, because the Bengals are pretty good. Rodgers provides a big edge.
Coin Flip: Cincinnati
Prediction: Packers 34 Bengals 27
However, with Mark Ingram II as their main running back, Houston doesn't offer much in the way of offense at all. New England is likely good enough to win this by two scores or more.
Coin Flip: New England
Prediction: Patriots 27 Texans 10
Jacksonville holds the NFL's longest losing streak, now at 19 games, but they're getting close, losing to the Bengals, 24-21, last Thursday. It's the perfect setup for Trevor Lawrence's first win, but just too obvious, though Tennessee's defense leaves much to be desired. They couldn't stop the Jets late in the game or in overtime. A real test for both teams. Lawrence will have to wait.
Coin Flip: Jacksonville
Prediction: Titians 31 Jaguars 24
Coin Flip: Detroit
Prediction: Vikings 30 Lions 16
Teddy Bridgewater was knocked out of last week's 23-9 loss to the Ravens and he's still in concussion protocol. Drew Lock may get the start and he's a capable replacement. will the Steelers be 1-4 and Denver 4-1 after this? Doubt it. Pittsburgh bounces back at home.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Steelers 23 Broncos 17
Coin Flip: Tampa Bay
Prediction: Buccaneers 34 Dolphins 21
Coin Flip: Washington
Prediction: Football Team 24 Saints 21

Philadelphia Eagles at Carolina Panthers (-3 1/2, 45) 1:00 pm - The Eagles opened their season with a strong, 32-6, win at Atlanta, and haven't won since. Carolina suffered its first loss of the season, losing to Dallas last week, 36-28. Before the Cowboys, the Panthers had allowed just 30 points over its first three games. The defense should be better against the Eagles.
Green Bay Packers (-3, 50 1/2) at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 pm - After that ugly loss to New Orleans in week one, the Packers have rolled up three straight victories, including last Sunday's 27-17 win over the visiting Steelers.
New England Patriots (-9, 40) at Houston Texans 1:00 pm - Both teams are 1-3, so to figure the Patriots 9-point favorites on the road, the Texans must be pretty bad. Their problem is that with Davis Mills at QB, they've scored only nine points over two games. Those game, both losses, were against the Panthers and Bills, two very good defensive teams.
Tennessee Titans (-4, 48 1/2) at Jacksonville Jaguars 1:00 pm - Th Titans managed to lose to the Jets in overtime, 27-24, though they were without their top two receivers, Julio Jones and AJ Brown, and either to both may not be back for this contest.
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (-7 1/2, 49 1/2) 1:00 pm - Combined wins between these two this season: 1. The Vikings continue to disappoint, and the Lions, well, they're just being the Lions. The Vikings have played better competition and they have Dalvin Cook, which is a big deal since the Lions don't have a run game.
Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers (-1, 40) 1:00 pm - Pittsburgh is such a slight favorite because anybody can see that Ben Roethlisberger just doesn't have it any more, or, at least he's not the same Big Ben from years past.
Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10, 48) 1:00 pm - With Tua Tagovailoa still on injured reserve (ribs), Jacoby Brissett remains the starter for week five, which means the Dolphins are really in trouble. No problems on Tampa's side of the water. The Bucs are 3-1 after winning a close one in New England, 19-17. The rain kept the scoring down in that game. Look for Tampa to open it up against Miami and their defense to lock down.
New Orleans Saints (-2, 44 1/2) at Washington Football Team, 1:00 pm - The Saints are 2-2, but lost last week to the Giants, 27-21, in overtime. Jameis Winston wasn't the problem, a well-prepared Giants' defense was. Still, Winston has shoes too big for him to fill replacing hall of fame Drew Brees. Washington may not have a team name, but QB Taylor Heinicke continues to improve weekly. He's a gamer and Washington should hold serve at home.
